The Independent National Electoral Commission

(INEC) has embarked on a comprehensive two-day

training programme for its staff in preparation for the

Repeat Gubernatorial Election in Kogi State scheduled

for March 29, 2008.

 Under the programme, all staff of the Commission on

Grade Level 05-17 in Kogi State and the neighbouring

states of Benue, Niger, kwara, as well as the FCT have

been trained.

 Meanwhile, training for the headquarters staff has

commenced in Abuja, while training for staff in Edo,

Delta, Ondo, Ekiti, Kaduna and Nasarawa states has

been slated for next week.
