The Independent National Electoral Commission has successfully conducted the Gombe State

House of Assembly re-run election. Thisn followed the nullification of the April 14th 2007 Election

by both the Election Tribunal and the State Court of Appeal.

The re-run election was conducted on Saturday 21st June  2008.

Staff of the Commission who had earlier been trained at various levels were deployed for the

exercise.

Three Political Parties contested in the election with the following results.

Hamman A.Adama K. of the PDP was declared winner with 39,328 votes
