Adamawa Bye-Election (Nasarawo/Binyeri State Constituency) INEC assures free fair and credible polls

The Nasarawo/Binyeri Bye-Election is as a result of the death of the member representing the constituency, Alhaji Ahmad Gangwaso in January.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has put everything in place to ensure a hitch free election on the ongoing polls today. The NYSC members, Senior Staff of the commission and the senior staff of the Federal tertiary institution were deployed to serve as SPOs, POs, collation officers and returning officers. This is a policy adopted by the commission to achieve a maximum degree of neutrality and transparency in the electoral process.

The Independent National Electoral Commission assured all stakeholders that the commission in conjunction with the security agencies is determined to provide all necessary security.

The Nasarawo/Binyeri constituency comprises of seven(7) wards with a total of ninety two(92)polling units and forty seven thousand, three hundred and forty three(47,343) registered voters with only five(5) political parties, which includes ACN,APGA,CPC,KOWA and PDP have fielded candidates to contest the bye-election.

The commission assured all, especially political parties of her commitment to fairness, transparency, honesty and a demonstration of high sense of responsibility in today’s election.
