The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has issued a Certificate of Return to the winner of the July 8, 2017 Osun West Senatorial bye-election, Otunba Ademola Adeleke, at a brief ceremony which held Tuesday, at INEC Headquarters, Abuja.
In his remark at the presentation, National Commissioner, Prince Adedeji Soyebi, commended the people of Osun West senatorial district for supporting the creation of a “peaceful, friendly and ideal atmosphere for elections”.
The National Commissioner said the peaceful conduct of the people of Osun West senatorial district was a model worthy of emulation by other citizens. He added that the work of the Commission would be easier if it continued to enjoy such manner of cooperation from stakeholders in elections. Prince Soyebi reassured that the Commission was committed to improving on elections in the country.
