LIST OF ACCREDITED OBSERVERS FOR 2022 EKITI AND OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTIONS Scheduled for June 18th 2022 and July 16th 2022 Respectively

  1. INEC is pleased to announce the list of successful applicants accredited to observe the Ekiti and Osun States Governorship Elections scheduled to hold on 18thJune and 16th July 2022 respectively.
  2. All accredited groups are required to fill and complete the Form EC14A (II) online (http://observergroups.inecnigeria.org) on or before 13th May, 2022, for Ekiti  and Osun respectively. Successful observer groups are requested to visit Election and Party Monitoring (EPM), INEC Headquarters, Maitama – Abuja during official working hours or call 08037867338 to obtain Access Code (Accreditation Number) and number of field observers to be deployed to enable them complete Form EC14A (II) online.
  3. In addition, hard copies and soft copies (flash drives) of the online submission containing the names and photographs of their members to be deployed on LGA and State basis should also be submitted to EPM Department, INEC Headquarters Abuja, using JPEG drive.
  4. All successful groups are also required to download (at https://inecnigeria.org/synopsis-of-group-observation-form-2/) the Synopsis of Observation Report Form EC14B to be completed and submitted online within 72 hours after the elections to iccc@inec.gov.ng.
  5. In accordance with the prevailing circumstance in the country, all accredited groups are required to fully comply with the INEC COVID-19 Policy on Election and on Accreditation of observers including signing of Indemnity Form and provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all field observers (see INEC website: www.inecnigeria.org) as failure to comply will lead to the immediate cancellation of accreditation.
  6. The distribution of observer kits (including ID cards to individual observers) will be done in the States offices between 13th and 18th June 2022 for Ekiti and 11th and 16th July 2022 or Osun respectively. However, accredited Foreign Groups are required to collect their Kits at the Election and Party Monitoring (EPM) department, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Headquarters, Abuja between 11th and 16th June 2022 for Ekiti election and 4th to 9th July 2022 for Osun election.
  7. The Commission wishes to emphasize that groups other than those accredited found in any of the two states for the elections shall be handed over to law enforcement agencies. Also, accredited field observers found in States other than where they had indicated interest will equally be sanctioned.
  8. All accredited Observers shall abide by the Code of Conduct for Election observers, which is available for download from the INEC website (www.inecnigeria.org). INEC reserves the right to cancel and withdraw the accreditation of any organisation at any point its members or agents breach the Code of Conduct.
