The Secretary to the Commission, Mrs. Augusta Ogakwu, has affirmed that the one-day retreat for the Commission’s Directors on Communications And Public Service Rules And Procedures was part of INEC’s effort to give effect to, and consolidate, last year’s restructuring of the Commission.

Ahead of the Adamawa governorship bye-election scheduled for 11th October 2014, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in the state from Tuesday 9th to 11th September 2014.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is to set up registration points at its Local Government Area (LGA) offices where people who are yet to register under the Phase II of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise can go to in order to register.

Directing staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have been charged to actively implement the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) programme of the Commission in order to minimize cases of dispute to the barest minimum.

Political parties have been advised to always appoint faithful and genuine party agents who will not compromise their integrity during elections.
