Voter Revalidation
Revalidation is a CVR exercise that allows previously registered voters to review/ revalidate their already existing information on the INEC voters database.
This process can be done either of two ways:
online or In-person
PRE-REQUISITE FOR REVIEW
- Applicant must be Nigerian
- Applicant must have been previously registered
- Applicant’s registration is over five years old and has not been revalidated in the last three years.
STEPS FOR REVALIDATION ONLINE
- Log on to the cvr portal: https://cvr.inecnigeria.org
- Sign in or register if you are a new user.
- Follow instructions on the portal till sign in is complete.
- Click on “Application” then on the drop down select “Review”
- Tick necessary check boxes under “Review Pre-requisites”.
- Search for your detail using the last six digits of your VIN or Surname.
- Confirm the details and capture a passport photograph.(N.B: application would verify if the image captured matches the existing image in the INEC voters database)
- Click on “Proceed To Review”.
- Save the reviewed application and print the registration slip
This process allows only revalidation of facial features.
IN PERSON REVIEW
You locate the nearest CVR centre to you, walk in there and request for revalidation.
This method allows for both facial and finger print recapturing by the CVR personnel on ground.
